The browser is the universal surface for computer-use AI: any agent doing real work — research, booking, filing, operations — eventually has to control one. Browser Use is the open-source standard for that, the interface between any LLM and the web. The bet is that it becomes the Playwright of the agent era: the primitive every lab, startup, and enterprise builds on when their model needs to actually do something.

Models are trained in Python, but the product code that calls them ships in TypeScript — and most developers adding AI features are already inside a web project, not a notebook. Mastra, from the team that built Gatsby, is the agent framework native to that world: agents, workflows, RAG, memory, and evals in one open-source TypeScript package. The framework wars have moved from rendering pages to orchestrating agents.

Frontier labs have exhausted the public web, and new regulation is turning unclear data rights into real liability. Luel is building the rights-cleared default: a global contributor network that delivers bespoke multimodal datasets — speech, video, robotics — with clean provenance and consent in days, then re-licenses the growing catalog. As models move beyond text, the data they need increasingly has to be created, not scraped.

In a world of AI agents and deepfakes, proving there's a real human on the other side is the new security perimeter. Didit rebuilt the entire identity stack from scratch — ID verification, biometrics, liveness, AML screening — instead of stitching together point vendors, so verifying a human takes seconds. The bigger bet: identity stops being a one-time onboarding check and becomes a runtime signal, re-verified whenever the risk changes or an agent acts on a user's behalf.

Conductor Quantum is building quantum superintelligence: AI that operates quantum computers to make scientific discoveries beyond human reach. Quantum computers act as near-perfect simulators of nature, and by pairing them with AI the company aims to open a path to new drugs, new materials, and discoveries no human could reach alone.

As coding agents become the developers, engineers are becoming fleet commanders — and traditional IDEs were never designed for supervising dozens of agents at once. Superset is the open-source IDE built for exactly that: a single workspace to dispatch, isolate, review, and merge the work of a whole fleet of coding agents. If agents are the workers, Superset is the factory floor.

AI's power crunch has made nuclear the only clean answer for round-the-clock electricity — but a conventional plant takes a decade to build. Apollo redesigned a single component, the steam generator, to shrink reactors roughly 40x while keeping the design, fuel, and coolant regulators have licensed for decades. The result is a factory-built reactor that can be deployed in under two years, arriving exactly when data centers and industry need the power.

The next leaps in AI capability are coming from post-training in realistic environments, not bigger base models — and every frontier lab is short on environments. Halluminate builds simulated worlds of professional software, with expert-crafted tasks and verifiers, where AI learns to do real knowledge work. The bet: frontier financial superintelligence will be trained inside someone's simulation of the financial world, and Halluminate is building that world.

Commercial contracts sit directly on the revenue critical path, yet outside counsel remains the slowest, most expensive, and least predictable part of closing a deal. General Legal is an AI-native law firm — experienced attorneys armed with proprietary AI workflows — that prices per contract instead of per hour and turns drafts around in hours instead of weeks. Every negotiation it runs compounds a "what's market" dataset that no traditional firm can replicate.

Dew Capital is led by Dylan de Waart. He is a founder turned investor who backs exceptional founders building AI and healthcare companies across North America and Europe.
Dylan studied Economics and Computer Science at Harvard University before starting his career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company in San Francisco. During the pandemic, his focus shifted to healthcare, eventually overseeing the Covid surge preparedness of over 50 hospitals nationwide. He left McKinsey to co-found Recover and tackle a different epidemic: the opioid crisis. He joined Y Combinator's Winter 2021 batch and was mentored by Michael Seibel (the CEO of Twitch and YC) as he launched Recover to make addiction care more effective, accessible, and affordable through partnerships with local governments.
As an active member of the Y Combinator community, Dylan started to invest in other YC companies before expanding to include the European startup ecosystem as well, often leveraging his Harvard and McKinsey alumni networks to meet driven and innovative founders. He also serves as an advisor-at-large coaching startups in the Dutch government's biotech commercialization program. Alongside investing, he continues to build at the intersection of healthcare and artificial intelligence.
Leveraging the Harvard, McKinsey, and Y Combinator communities to back exceptional founders building AI and healthcare companies across North America and Europe.
